No — NC law forbids physically locking guests inside any space. Our escape rooms are simulation-based. The "lock" is part of the game narrative, and you may exit freely at any time. The clock simply keeps running if you step out. Safety is always our top priority.

Most of our rooms accommodate a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 8 players per session. If you have a group of 2, you'll need to book 3 tickets. Have a group larger than 10? Please call us ahead of time — we have multiple rooms and can often accommodate larger groups by splitting across rooms or scheduling back-to-back sessions.

Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled booking time. This gives everyone a chance to check in, get your briefing, and sign your liability waiver. You can save time by completing the waiver online in advance. Late arrivals may result in a shortened experience.

Yes — reservations are required and must be made online in advance. This ensures your room is reserved and ready for your group. If you need help booking or have a special request, call us at 919.438.0798. Walk-ins are welcome for the Jail Break dueling room at Boxyard RTP (20–30 min experience).

Payment is collected in full at the time of booking online. Bookings are non-refundable for no-shows. If you need to reschedule, please contact us with at least 24 hours notice and we will do our best to accommodate. Last-minute cancellations may not be eligible for rescheduling.

Absolutely — 100% private. Every single booking at Game On Escapes is your group only. You will never be paired with strangers. The room is yours for the full duration of your session.

Most of our rooms are recommended for ages 8 and up. Players under 14 must be accompanied by an actively participating adult — a parent or guardian who plays along, not just supervises. Some rooms have higher age minimums (e.g., Morehead Manor is ages 10+, some horror rooms are for older teens and adults). Specific room age requirements are listed on each room's page. Our family-friendly rooms like Sorcerer's Mistake are suitable for ages 5+.

Yes! All locations offer handicapped access. The Cary location is upstairs above MacGregor Draft House — an elevator is available to reach our suites. The Boxyard RTP location is ground level with no stairs. Free parking is available at all locations.

Wear comfortable clothes you can move around in. No special gear required! We recommend leaving large bags and unnecessary valuables in your car. Most rooms involve standing, moving, and searching — comfortable shoes are a good idea. Your team's most valuable assets are communication, creative thinking, and teamwork.

Yes! Your Game Master monitors your progress and is available to provide hints when your team gets stuck. Just ask — there's no penalty for requesting hints, and we want everyone to have a great time regardless of whether you escape or not.

Yes — free parking is available at all four of our locations: Cary, Morehead City, Boxyard RTP, and Greenville. No need to worry about meters or parking fees.
